Role Summary:
The Production Manager, reporting to a manufacturing leader ,is crucial in managing the production processes, ensuring that manufacturing runs smoothly and efficiently and meets both production targets and quality standards. This position requires a leader adept at balancing high productivity with high quality, optimizing workflows, and leading a team toward achieving exceptional production outcomes.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the production process, planning and organizing production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize output.
- Implement and maintain high-quality production standards to meet compliance and customer satisfaction.
- Analyze production data, including volume, cost, and wastage reports, to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
- Work closely with other department managers to ensure a cohesive operation, aligning production with overall business objectives.
- Lead, train, and motivate production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a safe workplace.
- Manage inventory levels, ensuring materials are on hand to meet production needs.
- Collaborate with R&D and quality assurance teams to introduce new products and improve existing ones.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in a production management or supervisory role within the manufacturing sector.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in both Spanish and English.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
