Role Summary:
The Vice President of Manufacturing, reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer (COO), will be responsible for leading all manufacturing operations across multiple facilities. This role demands a leader with a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, efficiency optimization, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence, ensuring products are manufactured to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the manufacturing operations, including production, quality control, maintenance, and manufacturing engineering.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality across all manufacturing sites.
- Lead the adoption of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies, fostering a culture of innovation and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with senior management to align manufacturing strategies with the overall business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, upholding the highest standards of workplace safety and environmental stewardship.
- Manage capital investment and budgeting processes for manufacturing operations.
- Drive talent development and team building within the manufacturing organization, ensuring a high-performance work environment.
- Analyze production data and reports to make informed decisions on operational adjustments and improvements.
Typical Candidate Profile:
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in manufacturing management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing multiple production facilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- Strong background in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proven track record of enhancing manufacturing processes, reducing costs, and improving product quality.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent strategic planning and problem-solving abilities.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization and external partners.
