Role Summary:
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the COO will be critical in overseeing the company’s day-to-day operational functions. The ideal candidate will be a proven operational strategist capable of enhancing processes, productivity, and efficiency to propel the company towards its strategic goals.
Typical Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, implementation, and refinement of operational systems, processes, and policies in support of the company’s mission.
- Drive continuous improvement across all manufacturing and operational areas to achieve excellence in quality, efficiency, and capacity.
- Collaborate closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to align operational strategies with overall business objectives.
- Oversee key projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Manage and optimize supply chain operations, fostering strong relationships with suppliers and partners.
- Implement rigorous safety and quality control standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing operations team, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous learning.
- Monitor and report on operational performance, utilizing data to drive decision-making and strategic adjustments.
Typical Candidate Profile:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in operational leadership within the manufacturing sector, with a proven track record of improving processes and driving efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or related advanced degree strongly preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing operations, supply chain management, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate strategic goals into operational plans.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required.
- Strong analytical skills and experience leveraging data to inform operational strategies.
