Position Overview:
The Director of Manufacturing is a pivotal leadership role within the manufacturing organization, responsible for overseeing all manufacturing operations, developing strategic plans, and ensuring that production goals are met efficiently and within budget. Typical Responsibilities:

- Lead and mentor plant managers and other manufacturing leaders, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Supply Chain, and Sales, to ensure seamless operations and meet customer demands.
- Manage budgets, forecasting, and resource allocation to optimize manufacturing output and profitability.

- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and environmental standards.

Typically Reports To: Vice President of Manufacturing or Chief Operations Officer (COO), depending on the organizational structure.
Typical Direct Reports: Plant Managers, Production Managers, and potentially other roles such as Quality Assurance Manager and Continuous Improvement Manager.
Typical Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
- Extensive experience in manufacturing management, including a proven track record of leading large teams and improving manufacturing operations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing principles, and quality management systems.
